About Tom & Betsy Franz

Tom Franz has lived in Brevard County since 1986. He began working in the construction industry as a frame carpenter in 1992 and soon became a key employee with one of the large, local builders in the area, Holiday Builders.

Tom has been a Certified Residential Contractor in Florida since 1999.

During his time with Holiday Builders, Tom managed the construction of thousands of homes, both on-site and later, by supervising a staff of 30 construction managers and office employees.

Through dedicated leadership and teamwork, Tom's division consistently achieved outstanding customer satisfaction and quality awards, including a JD Powers award for "New Home Quality" in 2009.

Tom is very active in the Home Builders and Contractors Association of Brevard, and has served on their board of directors as treasurer, secretary, first Vice President and President.

He has also served as the Area IV Builder Vice President for Florida Home Builders Association, and on the Board of Directors of the Palm Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Palm Bay, FL

Betsy Franz, Tom's wife, has lived in Brevard County since 1967. She worked for ten years at one of the county libraries, ten years at Harris Corporation and is now a successful freelance writer and photographer specializing in Green topics, wildlife and the environment. She is a partner in Franz Construction Services, LLC, performing office tasks, bookkeeping and customer support. She has been educating Brevard County residents about the benefits of eco-friendly landscaping since 2003, through her website Project Backyard Brevard.
